The Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization (HVAO) was founded in 2006 by one of Harvard’s Vietnam Veterans to connect, bridge, and honor the proud military service the members of the Harvard community have provided our country in the past, present, and future. The organization serve as the connective tissue between Alumni, On-campus veteran groups and military affiliated communities (MACs), and the University leadership. HVAO is a 501(c)(3) incorporated structure as well as an official "Shared Interest Group" (SIG) of the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA). The group is 2,500 strong and growing!
