What HGSE is doing
Food
We use seasonal ingredients provided by local suppliers, whenever possible.
We offer 100% compostable forks, knives, spoons, plates, to-go boxes, napkins and straws.
 
Waste Reduction
We provide 100% plant-based compostable cups to use at water dispensers so we can avoid single-use, disposable plastic bottles.
Departments provide information digitally so they can print fewer materials and conserve paper and the resources involved in printing.
 
Landscaping
We ensure our landscaping is 100% organic.
 
What you can do
BYOB: Bring your reusable water bottle, when possible, to stay hydrated and reduce waste.
 
Recycle: All the recycling here goes in one bin: cans, aluminum foil, non-compostable plastic containers, glass, paper and cardboard.
For the win! Empty liquids out of any single-use plastic bottles and cans before placing them in the recycling bins.
 
Compost: Any leftover food, napkins, paper-towels and HGSE-provided plates, utensils, to-go boxes, cups and straws.
 
Opt for plant-based dishes that are good for you and the planet.
 
Avoid balloons since they often end up as microplastics in the environment harming wildlife, our water systems and ultimately us as well.
