Crystal has been with the Office of Student Affairs at HGSE since 2021. Originally from Washington D.C., she has lived in New England for over 15 years.

Her primary responsibilities include overseeing student organizations, serving as the housing resource and information coordinator, and managing OSA finances. Crystal currently serves as a member of the University’s Student Affairs Professional Development Committee.

Crystal earned a Master of Arts in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in 2016. The focus of her ethnographic research project at Lesley was on identity transformation in Salvadoran immigrants living in the Boston area. This project was sparked by conversations with her parents (both from El Salvador) on race and racism. Recently she completed the Learning Design and Technology certificate program through the Extension School, an experience which has led her to find creative ways to incorporate learning design into student affairs projects.
