# Where or how can I vote?

Each state offers a variety of voting options including early voting, mail-in voting, absentee voting, and in-person voting on election day. **Deadlines, rules, and processes vary by state! Within Massachusetts, early voting hours vary by town; check your local government’s website for details.**

- [**Find out about early voting (in person)**](https://iop.turbovote.org/vote-early) in your state.
- [**Find your polling place**](https://www.nass.org/can-i-vote/find-your-polling-place) **to vote in person on Tuesday, November 5** (any state).
- [**Find out about mail-in voting**](https://iop.turbovote.org/vote-by-mail) in your state. States that allow mail-in voting usually allow it for any voter, but read the rules for your state to be sure.
- [**Request your absentee ballot**](https://voteschallenge.harvard.edu/request-absentee-ballot) if you will be **unable to vote in person on Tuesday, November 5** (any state). Most states have rules about absentee ballot eligibility. If you do not qualify for an absentee ballot, click the previous link to find out if mail-in voting is available in your state.

**If you currently live outside the U.S., you must** [**submit** **this form to register and request your absentee ballot**](https://www.fvap.gov/uploads/FVAP/Forms/fpca.pdf)**.** [More information about this process](https://www.fvap.gov/citizen-voter/overview). Note that the deadline for submitting this form will vary, depending on the state you claim as your residence.
