Dean's Advisory Committee on Equity and Diversity (DACED)

The Dean’s Advisory Committee on Equity and Diversity was established in 2007 to help shape, advance, and celebrate HGSE’s vision for a diverse, equitable and inclusive campus. As such, DACED advises the Dean on how the HGSE community can eradicate institutional barriers to access and equity, and thus increase experiences of inclusion and belonging for students, staff and faculty.

Student Eligibility

DACED invites applications from students in the master's, CAS, and doctoral programs.

DACED plans to appoint two to three student members for the 2019-20 year. Students selected should be available to attend all the monthly meetings. The dates and times are listed below.

Tuesday, September 10th – from 9:30 am to 11:00 am
Tuesday, October 8th - from 9:30 am to 11:00 am
Tuesday, November 12th – from 9:30 am to 11:00 am
Tuesday, December 10th – from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

Student Member Application instructions:

Students who apply to serve on DACED must be able to attend all DACED meetings, except in the case of an emergency. Please note that you will need to prioritize DACED meetings when you consider your class schedule.

If you are interested and eligible to serve on this committee, please submit your brief response (no more than one page) to the following questions via email (no hard copies) to Associate Dean Maritza Hernandez maritza_hernandez@gse.harvard.edu by these deadlines:

Deadline for applications is Friday, September 6th at 5:00pm.

Students who are selected will be notified no later than September 9th  at 5:00 pm.
